Geoff at Aurealis Audio (contactable on his website, but, unfortunately no longer on SNA) confirmed that these were the original R1 interconnects.  They use a combination of silver and copper solid core wire.  The wire is Neotech UPOCC. The RCAs are the original ETI copper bullets. There are some "all copper versions" of the original R1s around, but very few by comparison.  Back then, the “all copper” versions were made as a special request for customers who preferred to have no silver in their system.

 

Great buy for those that can utilise the 750 mm length.

Thanks guys, my Rotel 1592 and B&W CM9 S2's sound quite forward and  bright to me so was looking at options and the all copper R1's look like they are more base focused and dull the brightness.  That said , will be a lot better than the really budget ones I have now I had lying around

I had silver/copper R1's once and did not find them in the least bit what would be called bright, the Neotech silver is quite neutral.

Geoff at Aurealis Audio certainly puts together excellent interconnects and speaker. cables. These have quality Bullet Plugs from ETI so for the asking price these are a bargain.
