Discover yesterday, the CD door can manually pull out slowly, put CD, slowly push in. It is still able to play without skipping. If you open the player, you will find that the tray open and close mechanism consists of a gear, plastic wheel and a rubber band. If the gear and plastic wheel are in good condition, it's the rubber band that has turned hard or stretched. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001146267135.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.1c41329cBuPmmB&algo_pvid=112a03db-21ad-4633-ab51-11d06ad06476&algo_expid=112a03db-21ad-4633-ab51-11d06ad06476-0&btsid=0bb0623b16001515306502380e168a&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_

wyx03 Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Have had bad experience with Alfred too. Bought a pair of used speakers and found it to be broken when tested at home. There was obvious sign of touch-up to 'hide' the defect >:(

Take out the belt and go to Koba at People's Park Centre and get a new one Try to replace it yourself and see whether it works. Just my personal opinion and disclaimer apply as usual.
kypay Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 Thanks everyone. DIY by ordering the parts (gears & rubber band) from AliExpress. Open the CD player, discover 1 gear totally broken. Replace the whole set and close it. CD tray still cannot open. Reopen CD player again, realign 2 gear and don’t press so hard to each other. Close it... the CD player back to life!!!! Damm good experience in opening the chassis, removing 3 connectors, take out CD sliding tray & whole CD laser compartment. 2
