ampdac Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Hi all, Like to check if anyone owns the Wharfedale EVO 4.3 floor standing speakers. Would value any feedback on its performance and also which local shop sells it. Thanks.
Guest wcseow Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I don't own a pair but have heard it in PAR Audio in SLS. You can try there though the setup is pretty spartan and only stereo setup.
ampdac Posted August 31, 2020 Author Posted August 31, 2020 Thanks for the tip. Looks like Wharfedale is not too popular a brand.
Guest wusplay Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Haha, I think is not that Wharfedale is not popular, well, generally no reply simply because forumers nowadays are becoming not so active...
netbaby Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Was at sls listening to both Wharfedale Linton and EVO 4.3. I feel they are not bad sounding but I would prefer the Linton. ;D
kinger Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 the look looks high-end though, hope the sound is on par to its look...
ampdac Posted September 1, 2020 Author Posted September 1, 2020 Thanks guys for the feedback. Appreciate it.
gabond Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Owner of EVO 4.4 for one month here. Fantastic speakers for the price. Can easily compete with many other 'established' speakers up to 7k (B&W 7 series, KEF, etc.). Very underrated brand but amazing sound and slam. Auditioned both 4.4 and Linton. Linton has a warmer sound and fuller bass but slightly less transparency and detail. However, for the price inclusive of stand again it's amazing how Wharfedale prices their speakers. I have a Harbeth C7ES3 and I would say the Linton sound signature is very similar. The Linton loses out a little for the vocals but separation is better.
