The video signal will be weakened when you are using a long HDMI cable. SONY recommends less than 5m.

You will start to get a 'handshake' blinking issue therefore you need ACTIVE HDMI cable which has a built-in amplifier to boost the signals.

This 'amplifier' device is placed inside molded in the cable itself.

It is tested without any problem when watching normal 1080p and/or 3D movies.
