Audio Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Yes, you can use multiple devices with one account. You just need to unauthorized the last device when you start up your next device. (Audio) PS: You sold your Esoteric yet? :)

I got 1 lifetime Roon license and 1 yearly license. But I use JRiver most of the time listening to my CD library. You are buying the new K1XD? I am still packing in HK...over 4 boxes of CDs..................and I probably be back after the election. :( (Audio)
Gs Tan Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 i am getting the trial of ROON, trying to set up, it keep showing "looking for your roon Essential Core ", I am using Auralic Aries streamer,, using Ipad/Lighting DS app to control the streaming, all run well. the Essential Core is referring to the Aries streamer in this case ? i went to the help section, and enter my network ip address to scan, hopefully it can detect the aries streamer, but no response ?? have I missed out anything ? any brother currently using Roon can throw some light on it, please !
Eric Teh Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Did you install the right version ? If you look at their downloads, there are versions that cover control, core and output. The core / output is the server that is the heart of Roon. The control part is the software that selects the tracks etc. I have the Auralic Aries. I installed ROCK that is a specialised install of Roon that covers core and output on an Intel NUC. My iPad runs the control software that helps me select my music. If my iPad does not see the Auralic, I know it's not setup properly. Note that your Aries must be updated to the latest firmware to work with Roon.

ajitmoses Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 I use the Roon Essentials on Elac Discovery and it is very very good. It was on Roon version 1.4 for a long time but recently due a bug in Tidal, Roon and Elac upgraded the Roon Essentials to version 1.7 which is the latest. This has made the Elac Discovery a lot more usable. And what a great device it is for what it offers.
