I was walking around in Aldephi yesterday and it has been months since I last visited.

A few Hifi/HT shops, e.g. CD Acoustics,  KEC etc. which have been there for decades seem to have ceased operation. Or have they moved somewhere else? Hope they are OK.

CD acoustic move up to the 4th floor at the same side of his previous unit but deeper toward the right end. KEC move down to the 1st level but currently renovation.

I am sure Ernest is happily retired. Although the plans he made to see the world have to be put on hold till the borders open and safe to fly. I have been patronizing his CD shop since he started at the old Sembawang Shopping Centre some 30 years ago. It was his second career. The older bros will remember Sembawang SC as the place for audiophiles in the north. There was Audioline (now at Orchid CC), Jay Audio, Sembawang Music (now no more) and Ernest. Some more audio shops I cannot remember.

Now less one nice vinyl shop to visit in Aldephi where you can hang out and chitchat with the owners.  Those at basement ..Memory Lane and the shop opposite, unfortunately do not stock Chinese LPs.

Ernest told me he open in July, maybe he is taking a break, didn't ask in detail.

ah, really ah?

i got some from them during CB from the store. it was NOT the owner i think. yes, it was quite annoying to check price for every piece, though they had prices on their used ones.

maybe should just buy from their website.

That's not Ernest, he is HK Loo business partner with Retrophonic. Wow Acoustic LLP is another of their business entity. selling premium LPs and Project TT.
