Got a cheapo TCL... And when at a pure brighter screen I can see some dark spots at the 4 edges, top and bottom and 2 vertical stripe (slightly) in the centre.

Is this normal? I just don't want to claim warranty and another set also the same.

Watching movie won't really notice it untill the screen is partially brighten up, like when hv a scene with bright skyline. c3acfb6163af8150a44f81abe2d9ac6f.jpg

I seen it on my LG TV too. This is predominant for most edge-lit LED TV.

Thks for your info. But I saw this TCL model is spec as DLED panel. DLED also suffer such issues?

Good thing is, at black/dark scenes there is no obvious backlight bleed.

My guess may be due to the quality of the LED that casts the unevenness (LED TV is like that). My take is you can try to claim for replacement (if your warranty claim is successful) but I reckon the replacement set will be similar. Just enjoy your new TV since it doesn't affect the watching experience much. Best DLED TV I have seen is the Sony Z95 but the price is also very many times more.

Check out "Dirty Screen Effect"

FALD panels fair better, but OLEDs are the best. Cost more obviously..

Very interesting and Informative. After reading this link, I think all of these entry level LED panels (Maybe even the mid range ones) will hv such issue .
