Hi all, I'm looking to build myself a HiFi system now that my wife and I have a house, though I'd like floor speakers I think my 1yo son will destroy them and I'm looking for a set of bookshelf speakers, thinking wharfdale 9.1's. Can anyone tell me if these or most bookshelf speakers are OK to be wall mounted? Definitely want tge m out of the toddlers reach. Also looking for a vintage stereo amp, I think my budget will only allow solid state though.

Welcome to the forum.

Problem with 'bookshelf' speakers is they tend not to sound much good on a bookshelf. They are much better on a stand. And on a stand, the risk from a toddler is potentially much larger

Edit: ignore my post. You are talking about wall mounting. I imagine they won't be their best but don't really know
