thanks kab, appreciated.

the expensive ones on ebay im going to avoid.

im looking for one close to home as I'd like to test it before purchase,

The one from Holland is expensive for a reason - it is in flawless condition.

I bought one from a similar Holland based distributor last year for 800 euro landed after a local Mk2 went for over $1300 on Aus eBay. I am not surprised to see this sort of pricing at all.

I like it so much I bought it myself  :)

He gave me a discount too 500 euro landed and in much better condition than the Marantz that went for nearly $800 on eBay just moments ago  :thumb:

Exactly the same player - 220v but will be modified anyway.

at least yours have the play button intact ;)

Oh no!! I was going to have a crack at that one! :P  I tried a BIN with the CD94 guy but no luck, so I didnt bother with the CD99. Oh well, good pick up for you...keep me in mind if you decide to offload any of your transports. My CEC TL5100 is starting to play up, so a dedicated Marantz with CDM1 might be a good option for me.

If I spot another good buy I will tip off the OP thedefskunk first but I doubt it will be in Adelaide - it isn't exactly the CDM1/TDA1541 capital of the world  ;)

In my experience these players must be procured from sources far from home sometimes.

SETfan I will look out for you too.
