gat474 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 ITEM: Denon PMA1500R integrated amp black in VCG LOCATION: Moonee Ponds, Melbourne Condition: Very good Reason for selling: Changed my mind on my plans, rather that GLW has convinced me that I don't actually need that second system Pics: Added Price: $350 Additional Info: I bought this with grand plans of getting a second system together with a pair of Usher S520's in the back room. Trouble was that I didn't realise the GLW didn't actually want any hifi kit in 'her room' and is more than happy with the Squeezebox Boom in the kitchen. Apparently I have enough gear in my room tokeep me happy. This amp is in very good condition with just one small dot type mark on the volume control which can be seen in the photo. It comes with aremote and manual. It was a one owner before I bought it a few weeks ago. The Denon PMA1500R and it's later cousins were a well designed integrated with twin power supples producing 70wpc in 8 ohms and 140wpc in 4 ohms. It's a heavy item weighing 14kgs which by the way will make it too heavy for Aust Post. It seems to be really well made with an extra thick chassis, top plate and front panel. I've listen to it with a couple of pairs of speakers. It's certainly a punchy amp with a revealing sound. I probably wouldn't partner it with really bright speakers but it sounded fine with some Zaph ZD5's and Watmough standmounters I tried it with. I don't have a box but at a pinch I could wrap it in bubble wrap and make a cardboard box to go around it. I think it's a courier job given the size and weight. I would have to charge for the bubble wrap as it would take quite a bit to safely wrap it up. Specs and internal pic courtesy of Google. The rest of the pics are of my amp.
