progladyte Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Well guys, the war office and I are heading just south of the border for a few weeks camping by a stream on a fairly remote property. I hope to get through a half dozen books or so, plus some nice bottles of red and a slab of brown lemonades if the weather necessitates such a level of intake. Catch you all in a few weeks but have yourselves a great NYE and stay safe on the roads. Cheers Prog. I'll be out of touch with 'puters etc but at least the eldest son and his fiance will be taking care of the house while we're away. 2
LogicprObe Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Have fun. I'll keep fighting the good fight!
Super Mustud Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Camping holidays are fantastic. We did it for many years when the little Mustuds were young and the memories will live for a long time. Enjoy and keep safe.
progladyte Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 Well guys I must confess to having really enjoyed 2 great weeks in 2 different and fairly remote spots along the Clarence River. All self sufficient camping, with plenty of water in the new water tanks on the trailer. We met some really cool people and managed to score myself a sail on a neighbours Hobie Cat. Camp cooking never tasted better either with some excellent meals all done to perfection in the camp oven or straight on the griller. We had some pretty hot days too where we spent most of the time submerged in the river or lying around naked, seeing there were so few people there. Talk about a totally great way to recharge the batteries. I'd go back again tomorrow!
LogicprObe Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Pics! (not the lying around naked ones either!)

progladyte Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 Well we certainly made sure that any whales that ventured far up the river didn't spoil our fun by displacing any of our water.
