Yep, I loved the WA6.. Then a Burson Soloist, a Violetric, ... Then a WA22.. with Beyerdynamic T90's

Oh my god. One the greatest midranges I've heard. Seriously. Silky, fat, and able to carry a rhythm, I'm listening to Portishead "We Carry On" and the soundstage is huge! Bass is balanced without being overbearing, I'm on my arse, plugged in at home. This is of course via A Rega P5, 2M Bronze cart and a Musical Surroundings Phenomena II Preamp. Lush, gorgeous .. Can't wait for this to burn in and improve further:) update at approx 100 hours!.. Explosions In The Sky now on rotation:)

I tried this with my T1's at Addicted To Audio, and I must say my reaction was exactly the same as yours. Unfortunately cannot justify its price for my computer setup (Foobar > DAC (had rega at the time, going to get Calyx) > WA6 > T1s). Are you going to mod the T90s for twin XLR cables? I'd be wanting to do it! Would LOVE to hear the turntable through it too!

Thanks for the photo and the post.

No hassles! Even though the photo went sideways;)

Vinyl to me sounds sooo much better through this amp, but that's my taste! Got Belly on now.. Can't wipe the grin off my face!! This is my sole system. Had to dump the cash.. And glad that I did;)

Thanks folks:)

Just turned the bloody thing off (back to work:() and I want to turn the bloody thing back on again:) And no pchan.. bugger off, you can't have it!! Yeah, got all impatient with the delivery time for the WA6... (Not Addicted To Audio's fault. George and staff were most accomodating for my self imposed upgrade:) And God it was worth it. Save your pennies pchan, The vinyl front end makes the whole WA22/T90 thing gel REALLY well. I can't fault it. It has all the midrange goodness the average hifi nut could need, When I was in A2A I listened to the amp with high res files, and I knew it was going to work well with my vinyl front end. The bloody thing is not even run in and it sounds amazing!!!!!! (Maybe someone with golden ears could find an issue.. gladly it's not me:))

I have run my Clearaudio Emotion through a cheapy CA 550 Phono Stage, to a NuForce HDP then to my T1s, and was impressed with how much it opens up. Love to send my turntable through your setup! The Audeze would go very nicely too I imagine, they are my favourite headphones for music, but I purchased T1s as they sit nicely with movies and games, which is a plus for me, might get some LCD-3s in the future ;).

Let us know if you end up tube rolling too :)

Ok, running this fully balanced from my new phono. I've noticed a few things. One, my T90's are fantastic, dynamically brilliant and a real match for the dynamic power this amp can give. I was running the volume quite low, and was still great in this area. Also, after a bit more burn in and phono preamp swap, the soundstage has integrated seamlessly, there's more what I would call fluidity amongst the various parts. It doesn't sound etched, but you still know where the singer, drums etc is. And still no fatigue. This can come from having a dull sound, but there is no way the sound is dull. I can hear rasping on vocals if its there, but it doesn't get on my nerves. You can hear all the nuances, but it's not as if you're listening with a microscope, you're still getting the big sonic picture:) I'm still in awe. Tube rolling in the coming months:)

Oh, the Mogami Studio Gold Cable... Thumbs up. $65 bucks, and I'm really wondering whether there's any need to spend more ..:) I'm happy to receive free samples to prove me wrong;) this stuff is used to wire up recording studios.. If its good enough for them.. I think I should be fine!

Well, nothing to really compare them with pchan! However, I'm pretty certain that I can't "hear" the cables, so that's a good thing I guess:) I might home trial some cables down the track, and see what all the fuss is about;)
