That we have no fixed answer , as some user their moshou works , some short 3m don’t but 8m works.

First of all , will like to thank you for your superb deal after acceptable of my trade in items.

Just settled down my UHD 3000, just nice will be watching 3pm Champions League Final

 

Damn this flagship is HEAVY man !  

Coming from an ex Z9S , Z9X and Z1000 Pro owner here,

this flagship UHD3000's navigation speed is really faster than the entry level Z9X.

 

Just settled on the G Firmware with Google Playstore and some key APPS.

Will venture into the HDD and network protocol next.

Some quick peek of the Player build and photos first.

1 thing to note that the UHD3000 Remote control is Awesome

( With Backlight & no need to point at player with line of sight)

3 AAA batteries needed

Mine works with moshou both deluxe and upgrade cables. I have 3m, 5m and 15m. Working in my previous Z9S and now Z1000 PRO. But my TV and projector are only 2K display and not 4K.

Ok now back to a quick network setup for the UHD3000. Very straight forward setup done in just few mins !

My intention is to use

Zidoo UHD3000 with internal Dual HDDs

Add on a current  @Orico 5 HDDs Bay aka NAS ( Photo as below)

let my Oppo 203 connect to  UHD3000 SMB network to play the above USB files and yet same time can play 4k HDR Disc

Via Oppo 203 Network side:

 

 

Detect instantly SMB Zidoo :

 Can see the 2 HDDs in my 5 BAY Orico HDD Bay  ( Currently i inserted only two sets of  3.5inh HDD, will upgrade to 5 pcs in near future)

 Am Happy now.

On Spec support to 16TB, I have only tested Seagate NAS 8/10/12TB with S/n 0008 series and work. 

Other model or brand , am not that sure.. but it too costly for now to buy 12TB , as same cost can get 2x 8TB

Tested a model can do RAID also , we can   use the web interface to setup DLNA server .....

I don't think the orico is a NAS. It's just a expansion to your zidoo which can serve as a nas.

 

Also this model hdd enclosure must press the button behind to switch on after it's turn off right.

Hdd enclosure and NAS are two total dif device , it can’t work as a NAS by itself lah, no matter what it connected to its still HDD array that is all .

Does not means only NAS can do RAID. some brand of Hdd enclosure also can,

Ya I know some hdd enclosure even orico also have, can do simple raid with just simple flip of switches. 

 

I also did not mention anything about raid in my previous post.

 

I just wan to say the orico rock using is not a nas.

ya yap its just a 5 BAY HDD for storing movies . nev use just power off and ON as simple as that.

 

 It one's  preference if one want to go NAS.

Ya. Is kinda misleading saying that is a nas. 

I'm using the one that I setup such that can switch on using remote while sitting at my sofa.

Ok it's time for Movies.  Today finished 1 whole movie via UHD3000 

Watching 4K The Hitmans Bodyguard in ATMOS .  Running Smooth and Stable. 

WOW , I am not sure if  I can hear  the separation really distinctive between the channels . Will go check out the few demos which I am familar with.

 

Next is to test the Zidoo Controller APP on Zidoo 

Under APPs - Control Center - I added the IP and done.  ( it mention can actually scan QR Code too)

 

Open up file explorer glance through the files and play seamlessly ( PJ off)

Testing the DAC connection and exploring Zidoo Controller APP on Smartphone now.

 

Once DAC is activated, I did discover a quick glance at Zidoo Controller HDMI Mode will be in " closed " mode  ( which is good!) 

I can actually manual set HDMI mode to RAW\AUTO  too.

 

( I connected from ZIdoo RCA - RCA @2 channel AMP) DAC Settings: Internal player Ticked

you can also change the device name Living room >> HTroom if you like to.
