transmat Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Hi, Anybody subscribes to Amazon prime video. Any issue with using local credit card for payment? Thinking of streaming it via my PS3. Am currently using smartdnsproxy to access US Netflix. Cheers.
InnocentBlood Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 been using it for 2 years now. no issues with using local credit card. in fact, you will use the same credit card that you use to pay for the stuff you are already buying from amazon US.

AudioNirvana1624706223 Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 If I am not wrong, Amazon prime videos have content licensing or copyright restrictions to overseas customers. It requires a US IP address (which you could consider some of the VPN solution/s) and not only that, it requires a credit card that has a US billing address. If you have both, then I would think it is possible.

I do have a borderlinx address in my list of Amazon addresses. Using smartdnsproxy. So far so good. No issues. Although the streaming quality isn't as good as Netflix. Don't know if it's the way the encode the flies or the server connection over there. I see various file extensions for a mr. Robot season. .avi, .wmv, .flv
kelccm Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 The American streaming content service’s largest video streaming competitor, Amazon Video, looks set to launch its streaming services globally next year, into 200 countries. http://geekculture.co/amazon-video-streaming-service-set-to-launch-in-asia/ Looks like we'll maybe able to get Amazon video soon without vpn.
rage1624705821 Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Thinking of subscribing to Amazon Prime Video as Nvidia Shield TV will soon be updated with the app. Intend to use GetFlix to bypass geographic restrictions. Is anyone using Getflix with Amazon Video? The main purpose is to see latest episodes of popular TV series. Does Amazon update the TV episodes as and when they are released in US? Or is there like a few weeks delay before it appears in their catalog?

Or is there like a few weeks delay before it appears in their catalog? Amazon Prime doesn’t update TV shows on a weekly basis – Hulu does that. But then again Hulu doesn’t have all the latest shows that you might want to watch. So I’d urge you to give the free trial a try before you decide whether you want to pay for the service or not. The TV shows catalogue on Amazon Prime work the same way as Netflix – you get full seasons to binge on once the current season has finished airing. You can still watch the latest episodes on a weekly basis but you will have to pay for it per episode. Your monthly subscription does not cover this.

Maybe will try out Amazon Prime for a month since its less than $5 for the promotion period. But will explore Hulu as well as I want to watch episodes as soon as they are released.
DizzyD1624705734 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Friends I used my Amazon US account to sign up for trial Prime account yesterday I was struggling with vpn to access that account but when I disable vpn I realized I can access the library Do you guys know if Amazon US prime can be accessed from here nowadays? Maybe it default to SG Prime Amazon Thx
ginamos Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Prime Video can be accessed on phone and tablet. On the other hand, it cannot be accessed using Firestick 4K on TV, you have to use Silk Web Browser then go to www.primevideo.com.

Maybe it default to SG Prime Amazon Thx I'm using smartdnsproxy to bypass the geo restriction. The only catch is you have to go through their amazon site to view all the shows. When I use my prime video app on my apple TV, I don't get the full selection. Have not tried it on the TV app. What's good about smartdnsproxy is it lets you choose which location you want to view. So australia site will have different content from the UK site and US site will have different content from the other sites. I'm only using the local prime membership - S$2.99 per month. You can try smartdnsproxy - there's a trial period.
DizzyD1624705734 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I signed up Prime SG and the contents are different from my Prime US account There are 4K stuff in Prime SG but looks lesser than Prime US. For example The Widow 4K is available in Prime SG but not Prime US logged in singapore The global giant documentary not available on Prime SG but in Prime US I think for 2.99$ Per month I keep my Prime SG account

DizzyD1624705734 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Let me try smartdnsproxy n using my Prime sg account to see if I get to US Prime selection. Prime not really a priority for me since I have Netflix. Will try n revert

DizzyD1624705734 Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 An update on this. I realised that SG Prime with DNS proxy doesn't give me US contents now. For instance the entire 007 movies are in US Prime and I can't see them under search function. Transmat - can you try on your end too pls?

metal beat Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Watching Nine Perfect Strangers on prime. Not bad at all. Bingeing all 8 episodes at the moment .
Godot Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 (edited) I’ve gone back in time on Prime. Back to 2007! Stumbled across “Masters of Science Fiction”, “A series adapting science fiction stories by well-known authors into sixty-minute episodes, introduced by renowned physicist Stephen Hawking. Stories filmed, included those of science fiction authors Robert Heinlein and Robert Sheckley, historical novelist Howard Fast, and mystery novelist Walter Mosley.” https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0772139/media viewer/rm1429559297/?ref_=tt_ov_i Edited January 21, 2024 by Godot 1
