Thanks guys, I meant acoustic or acoustic/electric.

You can certainly find cheap guitars these days, but i would like one that is also very good and will stand the test of time... but less than $1k... hopefully much less!

My vote is for a Taylor GS mini... I got mine for under $700 a few years ago...

Gave it to my brother in law as a gift... Damn I miss it

I have a Santa Cruz Model H and I used to play this little fella more.

Have not played the Taylor mini but did own the12 string mini Maton and have played the mini and full size Maton six strings a bit.The 12 was strung with elixir light gauge strings (my favoured brand) it sounded good, but after awhile it started to developed a small cup behind the bridge, so I sold it on,  playability they are good size guitar I really enjoyed that aspect of them,  the six string sounds ok, a bit dull and flat to my ear's, I much prefer the full size Maton guitars over the mini's any day.

Nothing wrong with that if it plays alright!

Unless you are buying a guitar for a child who may lose interest or getting a knock about guitar for camping etc I always advise getting a guitar with a solid top when buying an acoustic, not a laminate top like this one. Look for the word Solid in the description - the makers will use carefully worded phrases like "select spruce" to fool the unsuspecting.

Having said that if you play it and like the sound that's OK - there are an awful lot of big name players who play cheap instruments even though they can afford and often have top quality instruments, because they like the sounds they get out of them or the way they feel.

Plays quite well, sounds decent, stays in tune....a lot of guitar for 160 bucks

I got one off Deals Direct...........on sale for $59...............for a mate of mine to learn on.

Played OK but really hard to tune and would not stay in tune!

I sent it back and got a refund.

Went to a guitar shop and tried out a bunch of cheapies and got him one for $120.

I'll do you a deal 😉

In all seriousness it is a great guitar. Especially for fingerstyle players

I played an H13 a while back WOW

I'd love to but with a wedding to pay for I'm sure I'd be necked before I got in the door with it!!! 😜

How about this:

You actually play at the wedding with said guitar.

My wife and I did it for our wedding. Just one song, turned out ok, was fun!

I played H13 a while back, sounded very different to mine. It's a matter of preference I guess... I find mine projects more.

U should get one before the wedding... It gets harder afterwards lol
