betty boop
written a short review below, Raiders of the lost Ark - Aus Release - 5.1 DTS Master Audio Movie - 4.5/5 - This has to be an all time classic in the action adventure flicks. A big favourite of mine and been really looking forward to it on blu-ray. Last time saw it was on DVD and on a much smaller screen. This time around remastered it has come up best can remember it. One of those movies enjoyed from start to finish and cant wait to see the next instalment in the Indiana Jones The complete adventures PQ - 3.5/5 - OK though this has been remastered for Blu-ray and I understand for a re-release for imax etc. Due to its age...its a 31 year old movie...its a bit on the soft side and with a bit of grain etc in some scenes noticeable in the opening and in various parts of the movie. In other parts it looks really good. Though not a complete restoration as done with sound of music or benhur, this really is the best have seen this movie so a good job done in remastering. AQ - 4.5/5 - The audio is a real surprise. Right from the opening with the THX theme the audio is rich, enveloping with surround feel and with good punch detail and dynamics all the way through. Where some movies of this vintage can be a little light on in the audio side the remastering they have done is superb to bring upto levels of a current release. The orchestral score used through out the movie is pretty amazing too. Something not seen in newer movies but this places a full orchestra in front of you in places and sounds splendid in effect and scale. Top marks for sound. Overall - 4.5/5 - An all time classic for me and they have done good justice for it in this release, one been waiting for a long time for and very appreciative been able to watch and very much enjoy. Cant wait to watch the Temple of Doom ! some quick screen shots that I took below, Edited September 11, 2012 by :) al
Peter_F
The first movie was sensational IMHO, and the third one with Sean Connery was excellent. The second movie was disappointing, and the fourth one was just terrible. I haven't viewed these remastered series though. Cheer, Pete.

DoggieHowser
Yeap. One and three were just brilliant. Two was ok. But crystal skull was a travesty.

ETI Research
**SPOILER ALERT** I have to agree, Raiders and Last Crusade have to be 2 of my all time favourite movies of all time. Without a doubt, some of the best action movies ever. For old movies (not old old, but older than most current blockbuster) these are timeless! they will never get boring and they will never disappoint me no matter how many times i watch them. Temple of doom was (as Pete said) disappointing. It wasn't terrible, but it was a bit boring at times, and pointless at others. Kingdom was one of my most anticipated movies over the last 3 years, Harrison Ford, back reprising his role as Indy, the fact that the timing of the movie had to be moved so far forward didn't bother me so much as it had to with Ford's age, but I think him having a son wrecked it for me, Indy is a player, a womanizer and a gun ho, trigger happy thrill seeker. Him settling down just doesn't sit right with me, and I honestly thought that him having a son was just a way for the franchise to go "here we are foreshadowing, there's more indy to come and it's going to be focused on his son taking over the role" Notice I didn't mention anything about the fact they used ALIENS in the last movie... i mean, come on, there aren't enough swear words in the world for me to write how i felt about that. Good day sir!
DoggieHowser
As far as Indy stories go, I'd really love to see The Fate of Atlantis made as a live action movie. It was a brilliant SCUMM based action adventure game on the PC. If you want to try it out.. http://www.emuparadise.me/ScummVM_Games/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Fate_of_Atlantis_(CD_DOS_VGA)/95860 links with SCUMM emulators on PC and Mac Edited September 14, 2012 by DoggieHowser
ETI Research
OH MY GOD! yes! I loved Fate of Atlantis! I played that so many times when I was younger. I loved finding the different ways you could do things. there were choices you could make which changed the outcome of the adventure, and the ending as well. it was very very well done by lucas art. and I've been trying to get them to make an app for it for the Iphone same as "the Secret of Money Island 2" I have that and I've already beaten it 4 times haha. betty boop
finished watching Temple of Doom earlier, posted a short review below, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - Aus Release - 5.1 DTS Master Audio Movie - 3.5/5 - Not quite the follow up most were probably expecting after Raiders of the lost Ark. Havent seen this myself for a while, last on TV and on DVD before. The picture on this blu-ray release I think better than how ever seen before. PQ - 4/5 - Has been remastered for Blu-ray and has come up pretty good for PQ. Not entirely perfect, showing age in a few parts. A bit grainy in others. But absolutely lovely picture quality for plenty of the rest of the movie. Good colour, detail, richness to the picture. AQ - 4/5 - excellent musical score to support the movie and sounds pretty amazing. The audio is well done with good clean vocals, dynamics details and surround effects. Bass and LFE is not to standard of say a current release but still used to good effect where needed. Overall - 4/5 - Not my most favourite Indiana jones movie, but was an enjoyable watch anyhow. Looks and sounds excellent in this release and if an Indiana Jones fan not one you'd miss ! some quick screen shots that I took below, probably dont really do the movie justice as heavily reduced to upload here.
