sligoriverblues Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 (edited) Item: Convergent Audio Technology SL-1 Renaissance Preamp with MM/MC phono stage Location: Seabrook Price: $6500 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Moving sideways Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Here I am, doing what I thought I will never do... One thing is certain and that's that I'm not upgrading, because I don't have the money for the Legend This preamp is fantastically built, has almost a cult following and sounds great! Also, it's phono stage is just as great. I've auditioned a highly regarded phono stage against it, and I didn't even think of buying it... It stands against my NAT Signature surprisingly well and it would be a certain upgrade over many a $3000-$4000 phono stages. I'm the only owner of this preamp and it was bought from Greg Osborn, who distributes C.A.T. in Australia. Original package insluded, so potentially it would be possible to ship it, but it is one heavy beast, this CAT... Plenty of reviews and discussions. http://www.stereophi...fier/index.html Pictures: Edited September 11, 2012 by sligoriverblues
audiohifiaudio Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I agree a remote is very inportant
sligoriverblues Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 No remote, John. It doesn't really phase me whether it's there or not, but I can understand that this would be a no go for many people... I don't mind getting up from my chair from time to time. KS believes it sounds better this way. I haven't been able to neither refute nor confirm his claim
