Item: Linn Sondex LP12 S/N 040512 Valhalla Afromosia plinth and silver Ittok LVII arm

Location: N. Sydney

Price: $1,300

Item Condition: Very good (7 to 8/10)

Reason for selling: Need to fund upgrades

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash

Extra Info: After much procrastination have finally decided to sell this awesome unit which I've treasured for many years. It's in great condition and as you can see and is not modified so preserves the original Linn sound. This forms a great starting point for those who want to take it to new directions if you choose eg ps upgrades. It comes with an Ortofon Red cartridge which has < 100 hours as well as a stabilising puck and black dust cover. There's a couple of minor scratches which you can see from the pictures but nothing major. The afromasia wood work is in great condition but has two small discolourations where the lid has touched the plint. The spings bounce really nicely and freely which is a good sign as Linnies will tell you. I've listened to more expensive tables but to me this has real soul and muscality about it. I'll only sell locally and pickup only due to the fragile nature.

Hi Newbie. interested to know about your puck ( oo-err Missus) . Is it a clamp, or just a weight, how heavy, what make etc. I hope the Linnie goes to a deserving home.

Thanks, ZM.

Its a weight based puck, stainless steel, made in USA. Looks like it has clearcoat or something on it so it doesn't tarnish. Can't remember the manufacturer but works really well; I'll try to find the box. I notice it immediately if I forget to put it on since the sound and image tightens up considerably with it on.
