In the last hundred hours or so (if that even), it's had a complete new valve set rolled in - quad matched Electro Harmonix KT-88's, Electro Harmonix 6SN7's, Golden Dragon 6SL7GT's, and JJ Tesla GZ34S rectifiers. Has an Alps Blue Velvet volume pot and lots of other juicy audiophile bits inside. Can be run in Triode at 30w/ch or ultralinear at 50w/ch - changeable at the flick of two switches on the top of the amp. Based on the Puresound A30 amplifer that it looks very much like and is indeed a fantastic amplifier. I run it into some Aurum Cantus stand mount speakers and the combination is engaging, musical, transparent and detailed. A KT-88 valve 'shorted' about 2 years ago and I lost a couple of resistors on the board inside the amp. It was professionally repaired by a valve amp technician in Caboolture and has not skipped a beat since. Rob Cudmore confirmed that the issue was indeed caused by a valve and not the amp itself. Would be keen to swap for an equivalent quality and power valve power amp as I only use a single source that has a variable output.
