Gruffnutz Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 (Drools...) I wonder how much I'd get for a kidney. ^_^
New Sensations Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Looks beautiful - there's little that can touch Earle's amps for the money. Good luck with the sale.
chu Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Sorry if my question is not appropriate/stupid but why the pre-out is connected to input 4? 1
Gee Emm Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Is this the amp that was the door prize last year?
Graham Andrew Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Hi, Yes I think it was, I bought from a SNA member and as you would expect he looked after it. He had two Weston amps, so stuck with the Tempest. Earle rates the Topaz as more musical. Funny I have never even won a chocolate bar, let alone a great amp. As the second owner I am not sure why the pre is connected to input 4, I guess I should ask Earle.
Graham Andrew Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Feel free to give in to temptation...
Graham Andrew Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Think of it more as audio heaven..with a bit on the side!
MultiplexMan Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Sorry if my question is not appropriate/stupid but why the pre-out is connected to input 4? It is because Input 4 is no longer an input. The jumpers are there to connect the now separate power/pre stages. This permits the installation of a sound processor like a Lyngdorf between the power/pre stages.
