alps blue velvet - which one?

I'm doing some simple basic mods on an old Acoustic Research 40w integrated for a bit of fun and it's sounding great. I want to throw in a alps blue velvet but a bit confused which one to get 50k, 100k etc.??

What should I be looking at?? Any where in Australia I can get these?? Cheers.

Usually the value of the pot is painted or embossed on the back of it? Have you checked the original in the amp yet?

You have to use the same value to replace it with and also make sure that it is of the same taper. i.e. log or linear.

You can purchase alps pots online from many sources. e.g. Parts Connexion.

Or off ebay. There is a local selling his stash of pots on Ebay at the moment.

But the Noble pots are better - more musical(if you can find them).

You can measure the resistance with a mulimeter if you have one if there is no marking
