Yup, looks great, love the painting too.

Looks good. Don't discount drapes, they can be a huge advantage & cost saver for when funds need to go elsewhere, it doesn't have to be a window!

Updates:

Mangnepan MG 1.5 QR

NHT U2 Subs with A1 amp and X1 Cross over

Audiolab M-Dac

Kenwood KD 500 T

On the agenda:

Further room treatments, Power conditioner / regenerator.

Have moved the Krix into the H.T. with good results, chasing a second hand Krix Epicentrix to complement the upgrade.

Have been really blown away with the Maggies and Subs still gives me goosebumps after several months! I can't see any need for change for a while....

Looks great, congrats

Have you thought about mounting the bass traps to the corners?

Thanks for the comments.

JohnA the grand plan is to remodel the whole room, I have recycled black butt to lay, window treatments, etc. Currently the bass traps are on a metal tripod so that they can be moved around. These were made from 50mm acoustic foam from C.Rubber, glued down onto a sheet of MDF. They may end up on the back of a door or not used at all once the room is complete. I would love to make a custom stand for the gear when settled on the set up.

X2 looking good. The new painting looks a bit small but I guess the higher rack necessitated the change. Perhaps a longer horizontal piece would look more balanced. Someone earlier suggested drapes, how about hanging a nice rug on the rear wall to 'frame' your gear and soften the sound reflections.
