niss_man Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Hi all I have decided to build another set of speakers again. I've already built my own 3 ways and a couple of kits so have a bit of experience already. I was wondering whether anyone in Brisbane has a setup to measure the drivers I will be using so I can get an accurate frequency response and impedance plot done? When building my 3 ways I just used the manufacturers specs and graphs but this time it would be nice to get something a bit more accurate so I can model it in more detail. I will be making another 3 way with a vifa 8" audax 5.5" kevlar mid and vifa tweet. Regards Simon (Brisbane)
LogicprObe Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I haven't tried this................but it looks like good value! http://www.trueaudio.com/win_abt1.htm
niss_man Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 I have used software like this before but what I'd really like is to use some good measuring microphones to measure the response curve of the drivers and the ability to acurately measure the impedance curves as well. I dont believe using manufacturers numbers is as accurate as measuring them. Regards Simon
