i got the wireless streaming sorted to the point where i can connect to foobar and browse my music, but when it come to actually playing anything it just stutters and stops and is totally un-listenable, this is for 44.1/16bit flac and wave files and any high res. With the 44.1 files if i pause the track for about 10 seconds and the press play it will play fine for about 20 seconds and then start to stutter again, i have a 2MB/second wireless internet speed and thought that this would have been good enough. Anyone know what to do, i really don't want to connect via the cable and i am not sure it would make any difference as it has the same speeds as wireless. Thanks

How far away is the Oppo from the wireless router?, doesn't matter what speed your router is it will perform badly if its got a weak signal. I ended up placing a wireless repeater close to my oppo to get it to work well.

If signal is ok then maybe try some server software that is far more simple like OShare you just select which folders your music is in on your computer and the oppo can get access to it.

@ lusk thanks for your reply

the oppo is right next to the modem at the moment and has 100% signal strength so that's not the problem. i am going to connect via a cable and see if that makes any difference and but will try the software you suggested. Thanks

update the software has made a small improvement, with standard res files it starts off jittery but if i pause it for 15 seconds it will play ok but there is no playing hi res files> i will now try wired internet

tried wired internet and everything works great. It is a shame that i could not get the wireless to work but i can work on that at a later time. Thanks lusk for pointing me to oshare this has to be the easiest piece of software for streaming, i just run it(didn't even need to install) and it worked, nothing to set up except telling it were the music folders are. Thanks
