St_Luke Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 First spotted these on youtube, then followed the link to his flicker, At first i thought, this guys kidding! these are not DIY. I'm completely blown away at what this guy has built. Thought i'd share http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/
Sub Sonic Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Wooooooow!!!!! The guy has to be a patternmaker by trade!!
Aslan Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 It staggers me that someone would go to so much trouble and expense to assemble a superb system, and put it an acoustically disgusting room. 1
Nigel Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Nice work though. Hopefrully they'll end up in a better room. The music..is that Coldplay ?
Paul Spencer Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 That is a really impressive build! Combining that kind of complex curve with veneer and drivers in the side is quite impressive. It's a shame though, after going to such an extreme effort, to then use blankets and rugs as acoustic treatment!
L J T Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Wow! That makes my DIY build look like his offcuts
lusk Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Pretty impressive build. That top enclosure with all the curves would have been a challenge.

I'm still pretty impressed by your curves Paul you know i nearly let them go! i'm so happy they didnt back as our main HT speakers still sounding and looking awsome. The finish is so polished that i think in one shot i seen pictures on the wall, maybe with the blanket he was just trying to hide them? Wow! That makes my DIY build look like his offcuts Thats Exactly how i felt too!
Nikola krivorov Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Nice work though. Hopefrully they'll end up in a better room. The music..is that Coldplay ? That's Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the album is "Must must". One of my favorites, together with "Night song". The guy did something amazing with these speakers, never seen anything even approaching the level of craftsmanship he put in them.
Atlas Gouverneur Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 they would cost an absolute fortune to build... the Accuton speakers alone would have cost $9k....
