Now promotional price at S$6,688 excludes shipping and tax. We demo it and are very pleased with the performance. Our in house review on the set is that reproduction of music is warm, with the vocal part is now more central and forward, bass is nice and tight, sound stage is very distinct..last but not least value for money! Mono Block - Triode are unique in tubes audio. They have a warm and marvelous sound but their weakness is often their low power. This push-pull configuration, the power is not anymore an issue. These power amplifiers use 2 famous 211 triode (also known at VT4C) in push-pull configuration and in AB2 class. The input stage use a 12AT7 triode in SRPP mode. The phase inverter stage use another 12AT7 triode. The driver stage use a EL34 pentode per phase. The output stage is composed of 2 x 211 tubes in push-pull configuration. Preamp - It has a very sophisticated power supply, with 3 transformers and one big choke. All voltages are regulated. The power section use 2 separate transformers and one big choke to kill all high voltage noise. One transformer is dedicated for high voltage and one transformer is dedicated for filaments and digital functions. All the digital functions use a separate wiring. The high voltage has a very efficient LCL section and after it is regulated. The filament voltage is rectified and regulated as well. The gain section use 1 triode 12AX7 for the first stage and 1 triodes 12AT7 for the second stage.
