Doggie Howser Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 It was an uncomfortably tight squeeze on the Qantas flight over but in their defence, their inflight entertainment system was stuffed full of entire seasons of TV shows which IMHO was better than the SQ selections. I could watch full seasons of The Big Bang Theory (3 seasons worth) but the one that got my attention was the full selection of Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8. I had caught a few on SQ previously but there were just a sample of episodes. This time, I could complete the entire run. It was, in a word, SUPERB. Seinfeld had nothing on its creator :)
jimi1624705950 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Yes, the entertainment system is really good. The seats look good- carbon fibre? But too damn small as usual- annoying if I'm wider than the seat, would trade leg room to avoid being alternately battered by either my neighbor or people/ trolleys going past. Will look out for CyE
Doggie Howser Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 Not sure if it is old age or really the seats that are an issue but I never used to get neck aches sleeping on SQ but the QF seats were quite brutal on the neck. Never needed those neck inflatable pillows before but I might need to get some for the return. Also the lumbar support was terrible. With SQ, I found the tiny pillow helped provide some lumbar support but QF has pretty large pillows that didn't work for that purpose. :) Anyway, back to CyE! Season 8 was a ripper. Starts with a hilarious look at Jewish lawyers, touches on the Israeli and Palestinian conflict from the most unexpected angles and ends with a Michael J Fox face off :D
