oldrose Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Tandorino clone of a Seiko Gen 2 Orange Monster with a sterile dial. I paid $75 for it on AliExpress. No, it's not as well made as the Seiko but is very well made for the money and has a Seiko movement. 1

Jventer Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 @Neo and @awty Hi Guys, I am reaching out as I need a bit of help/advice with a watch, or actually a strap. I have this Michel Herbelin Newport watch, which I love, but the strap has broken and I have lost the pin which secures the strap. Michel Herbelin has withdrawn from Australia and the Seiko service people told me they can't help me. Could you maybe give me some advice of who can fix it or where I would be able to find straps and parts to buy, please. Thanks 1

MusicOne Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Found this ad on Facebook and it looks like a good deal. Is this brand reliable and of good quality.....considering the low price point?: https://aus.waldorandco.com/products/chrono-39-sardinia-silver-turquoise Thanks.

I would seriously be looking at seiko range especially at that price point as they have such great variety to cater for any occasion and the quality wise can’t be beat. I would stay away from what you considering. Neo 1

buddyev Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 (edited) I'm looking for some advice about my great grandfathers fob watch. It has been sitting in a drawer for quite a few decades - actually for at least 50 years - but its in nice condition, has a solid winder mechanism and is still working. It's a Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool. It also says Swiss made - that's the movement I assume. Looking in the back it says Elgin, Illinois - so maybe made under licence in the US?. It has no sentimental value for me so I may as well sell it if it's worth anything. Is there still a collectors market for something like this? Can anyone recommend a valuer in Melbourne? Thanks Edited November 30, 2024 by buddyev 2

I’ve done some research on the serial number and I think this model is one of 1000 made on 1887. It is a really nice piece but probably not especially rare or valuable. Obviously need to show it to an expert. 1
metal beat Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) Citizen Attesa ACT Line Satellite Wave GPS CC4050-18L. keeps remarkable dual time, every now and then press a button and sync the time to the global GPS time zone. sister product to the black one I have owned for 18 months. Being Titanium, including the band on the black makes these watches light and a pleasure to wear. certainly a lot better than my POS Tag. It's pretty cool having both watches next to each other keeping the exact same time down to the second hand. Edited December 2, 2024 by metal beat 5
