awty Posted July 3, 2024 Posted July 3, 2024 I have the Citizen 8110a bull head up and running, had to replace the main spring and a few other parts that were missing, including a new crystal that turned up yesterday. Everything works, keeps time, is very clean and scratch free. I think it needs a bigger leather band. Not bad for a fifty year old watch. 10
awty Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 (edited) Another Citizen 8110. This turned up like it was flung down the stairs, kicked out the door onto the street and run over by a bread van...but it polished up pretty good. Mechanically great, a slight adjustment to have it flat lining, just had to reinstate the clip on the stem. These come out very easily if you don't have the crown all the way in when removing the stem. In pretty blue. Edited July 5, 2024 by awty 5
Smoovie Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Recently purchased the Seiko SRPK17. I think Seiko really nailed the modern interpretation of this classic. This will be on my wrist for a while. 5
Neo Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 A magic offering from Rado 25 years and counting, yet appear as they day I bought it. Hi-tech ceramics and titanium. Neo 5
David A Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) Here is my Seiko SKX007J1 watch mod project. I set out to build the ultimate Batman homage, yet retaining the essence of the iconic SKX00J1. And I think I succeeded. Here is the full list of mods done - - Upgraded regulated NH36 movement with hacking and hand-winding (installation and regulation done by Eric at Lume Shot in NYC) - DLW watches GMT Batman 1 ceramic bezel insert - DLW watches Sapphire Type E flat crystal with blue AR coating on the bottom - DLW watches Deep sea polished steel bezel - DLW watches Silver Mercedes hands - DLW watches Polished steel crown with "S" engraved - Strapcode 22mm Super-O Boyer band with brushed v-clasp chamfered button double lock (model: SS222020B010) And here is the Timegrapher reading of the NH36 movement after regulation by Eric at Lume Shot.. awty Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 (edited) Yet another Citizen 8110a, badly beaten up, had to pull it apart many times to get everything working. I can just about pull these things apart and put back together in my sleep now. Edited July 12, 2024 by awty 8

muon* Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Not a brand I know, but I liked the look. Need to price replacement glass as has a scratch, and see about additional links added to the band. 3
muon* Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 (edited) Oops! May be a fake, I can't see any of this brand with a "12" on them. Never mind, some do have the "12"and found this particular watch online. Edited August 2, 2024 by muon*
muon* Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Does anyone know of an authorized service place for Victorinox watches in Brisbane?

Non original bands are $200

Neo Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Talk to a local watch repairer/maker they have access and knowledge on options available and go from there. Neo 1
muon* Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 So got a Jeweler that can add links to the band, so happy as i like the look of the Victorinox. I like my Seiko too but prefer this watch. 1
oldrose Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 First time on my wrist since 1997! Seiko 7a28 7020 - a birthday gift from 1984. Back from a service at Bob Shao and the pushers now work properly. This model was worn briefly by Roger Moore as 007 in A View to a Kill and has the first Quartz Analog Chronograph movement. 6 1
mtf Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Eyeing this off for a while, ridiculously overpriced but got a discount so made the poor decision to grab one, 3
