How much wrist hair will you lose wearing that bracelet? Nice clean example of  that watch.

Ha, none, a good band pulls no hair. I find them more comfortable than a clasp.

The workhorse for me.
Aussie brand, it’s comfortable, durable and cops an absolute flogging.

A Titus Tuning Fork with a esa 9162 movement.

Just ornamental so far until I can work out if it's anything I can fix. Has everything there and in the right place so far. Found some OHMs on the little coils which is a good sign. Hopefully it's just a bad contact somewhere. Mechanics look good.

The face paint has almost disappeared, kinda like the look.

Like this little Seiko high beat.

I can't get the damn balance wheel to kick in start beating.

Old Seiko Sports 150. A few scratches but not too bad. Buttons weren't working so I got them going, still need to strip the buttons right down and clean properly.  Weird place for the light button, it's like a little incandescent light that barely lights half the screen. 20240613_115101.thumb.jpg.4bd84cf65ff93ca03412ff3420bf38cb.jpg

Cool! That reminds me. I have a Seiko 7A28-7020 that needs the buttons cleaned. I'm not setup to do fiddly work right now so it will have to go to a watch maker. Annoying to pay for work I could do myself.

Those circlips are very tiny.

Just picked up my 13 year old Seamaster after it's first service and full overhaul.

It's come back almost like new and ready for more action.

I had really missed it and glad to have it back.

A very 90's Pulsar Spoon. Surprisingly solid build, very funky bracelet, every thing works as it should, Polished up as best I could.

A very nice 1969 Seiko Bell matic running very well. Has a proper alarm that vibrates and rings like a bell. No sleeping through this one.

Beautiful workings, just a slight adjustment needed.

An old Lings 21 Prix telemetre.

Mostly brass, the buttons stop and start the balance wheel.

The stem was broken inside very short, so I had adapt another to fit. Runs pretty well plus or minus a few minutes a day.

It's all about the look and it cleaned up well.

When I was in Melbourne recently I popped into a Rolex dealer to take a look. Of course nothing was for sale, the sales associate asked if there was anything I was interested in, and I mentioned the Explorer 36. Perfect watch in my eyes. He took my details down and I thought nothing more of it - there are stories of people waiting literally years on a list and still not getting anything.

Well wouldn't I know, the store called me last week and said they had an Explorer 36 waiting for me. I can't get back to Melbourne for months and now I am saving up for an overseas trip, so I had to pass on it. Crushed me.

Anyway, wearing something a bit more everyman today, my trusty Citizen Promaster. Runs at +/- 1 spd. Bulletproof.
