The Fez Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 I just found this watch in one of my office draws. Wondered where it went...lol!! 1
mtf Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 The workhorse for me. Aussie brand, it’s comfortable, durable and cops an absolute flogging. 3
awty Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 A Titus Tuning Fork with a esa 9162 movement. Just ornamental so far until I can work out if it's anything I can fix. Has everything there and in the right place so far. Found some OHMs on the little coils which is a good sign. Hopefully it's just a bad contact somewhere. Mechanics look good. The face paint has almost disappeared, kinda like the look. 1 1
muon* Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 It amazes me how you guys work with such small movements inside these watches

awty Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Like this little Seiko high beat. I can't get the damn balance wheel to kick in start beating. 2
mwhouston Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 A Rip Curl “Houston”. One of the heaviest watches I own. 3
oldrose Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 (edited) Not really on the wrist but a cool pocket watch - Official Swiss Railway issue. Ronda 1 Jewel movement. Edited June 7, 2024 by oldrose 5
awty Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Old Seiko Sports 150. A few scratches but not too bad. Buttons weren't working so I got them going, still need to strip the buttons right down and clean properly. Weird place for the light button, it's like a little incandescent light that barely lights half the screen. 6

I'm not setup to do fiddly work right now so it will have to go to a watch maker. Annoying to pay for work I could do myself.

awty Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 A very tidy 1994 Seiko Sports 150 auto. I thought for the price I paid there would be something wrong with it. Just runs a little slow, a quick service should fix. 5
oldrose Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 And today. All the dive watch needed. Citizen Eco Drive Titanium. 5
Mendes Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 (edited) Just picked up my 13 year old Seamaster after it's first service and full overhaul. It's come back almost like new and ready for more action. I had really missed it and glad to have it back. Edited June 17, 2024 by Mendes . 6 3
awty Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (edited) A very 90's Pulsar Spoon. Surprisingly solid build, very funky bracelet, every thing works as it should, Polished up as best I could. Edited June 18, 2024 by awty 2
oldrose Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Back on the bracelet finally after adding an additional link (Covid Kilos suck!). Seamaster GMT aka the Great White. 4 1
awty Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 A very nice 1969 Seiko Bell matic running very well. Has a proper alarm that vibrates and rings like a bell. No sleeping through this one. Beautiful workings, just a slight adjustment needed. 3
awty Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 A green faced SKX013 Seiko Diver Automatic 200m 7S26-0030 3
awty Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 (edited) An old Lings 21 Prix telemetre. Mostly brass, the buttons stop and start the balance wheel. The stem was broken inside very short, so I had adapt another to fit. Runs pretty well plus or minus a few minutes a day. It's all about the look and it cleaned up well. mwhouston Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 My second heaviest watch a Vostock. Mother of perl face, automatic with skeleton back. 2
mikizee Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 When I was in Melbourne recently I popped into a Rolex dealer to take a look. Of course nothing was for sale, the sales associate asked if there was anything I was interested in, and I mentioned the Explorer 36. Perfect watch in my eyes. He took my details down and I thought nothing more of it - there are stories of people waiting literally years on a list and still not getting anything. Well wouldn't I know, the store called me last week and said they had an Explorer 36 waiting for me. I can't get back to Melbourne for months and now I am saving up for an overseas trip, so I had to pass on it. Crushed me. Anyway, wearing something a bit more everyman today, my trusty Citizen Promaster. Runs at +/- 1 spd. Bulletproof. 5
