Breitling automatic copy I bought in Morocco some years back for $20. Exposed heart beat.

That is very cool. Be a bit of a pain to adjust the spring,  but very cool.

Spring?

The balance wheel is operated by a hair spring. You can adjust the spring by moving the tab on top. Normally you can do so simply by taking back off the watch. With this watch you would need to remove the movement and be mindful of the second hand.

An old Swiss made Olma Kings time. Has a magnified date window which is cool, proper gold plaiting and a automatic movement. I assume it's a 25 jewel ETA 2472, although the back doesn't want to unscrew without a fight so haven't checked. Found a band that fits, polished the flexi glass and she runs like a bweauty.

Italian automatic Locman Panorama. $1000 dear in Venice compared to Florence. Bought on Ponte Vecchio secretly by my wife as a birthday present overseas.

That has a lovely patina to it, Leon. It's similar to the Seamaster my father gave me a few years ago. Very classy.

I'm having a Batman day, personally.

My father’s gold watch for 25 years service at GMH. Girard Perregaux Automatic. A very expensive watch in its day and a little too small for me but high sentimental value.

Hold the watch with 12 up and press the crown to change date,  and with 6 upwards to change the day.

A 1930’s tank watch I had to coax back to life, love the fine blued hands and the discoloured crystal.

Serviced recently after being out of rotation for some years (was running very fast). 1965 Sportsmatic with 6619 movement- unpolished and a healthy size for its time!

Saw this in a recent Starbuy weekend sale, cheapest it has ever been. Came very close to pulling the trigger... except I think it is a *tad* too big for my wrist.

I have smaller wrists too- about 165mm from memory. Many larger watches look absurd on me but this wears just right I think.

Took my wife shopping in Ginza today. Popped into the Grand Seiko Flagship boutique and was lucky enough to see the Karakuri  Clock do its thing on the hour.
Then onto the Seiko Dream Square next door where I couldn’t resist their second last Ginza LE Astron. The tech in this watch is amazing.
The Seiko museum was by reservation only so had to endure time in the Ginza Uniqlo.

Not on my wrist yet but a very battered and grubby Citizen Chrono that needs bringing back to life.
