More like close to US$300k for the JLC GyroTourbillon 1. :P

That does not surprise me, there seems to be an explosion of high end ultra complicated watches in the past few years, the UN Freak being another good example.

l am with you on the Stuggart Stormer thats for sure.

At this moment a "Breitling" Chronomat automatic in S'Steel and gold, with a black face, gold sub dials...................

I am a bit of a collector...................

Diesel,

That is a very fair price, l would put it on eBay as you can sell to a world market, you may very well get more that that.

Good luck!

Currently own a longines hydroconquest that my gf bought for me this year. Solid timepiece, not quite a submariner but nice nonetheless.

Dream watches would be a patek phillippe calatrava 5196p or vc malte perpetual calendar. Beautiful dress watch but i dont (and wont any time soon) have 150k spare. The patek maybe one day...

I currently have both a Tissot PRC100

and a Diesel DZ7023

Neither of which are very fancy but I have a really bad habit of destroying perfectly good watches. So they do the job.

wow, some very nice watches here....not sure i could possibly justify spending so much on something so obsolete, but i certainly appreciate a nice-looking watch

have my eye on getting a casio 'edifice' with yellow face

http://www.casio-intl.com/wat/edifice/edifice_chrono/ef-503.html

i just want something functional, with analogue face and a little bit of class to the look of the thing

and, *drool* at the second JLC on page 1

THAT is a very, VERY nice looking watch - all class

I'm wearing this old watch that belonged to my father who didn't wear it for years because it kept stopping. I've had it for 12 years since he passed away and it hasn't worked for all that time and dug it out of the cupboard about 2 months back and carried it around in my pocket for a day to see if it would keep working (it's an automatic). It did and it was still going the next day and the next, so I bought a new band for it and it's still going strong. The 'day' wouldn't show properly (as shown in the pic) but that too is working fine now. It's all very strange.:D

The only problem is that the 'fluro' does not shine anymore so i can't read it in the dark. Tried to get a watchmaker to fix this for me but was told they can't get this fluro paint anymore because of the chemicals in it.:D Oh well,

The watch is a 1970's Seiko Automatic; I love it.

I have a Pulsar, Titanium body and band, Stainless Steel Bezel.

Solar powered, VERY light and strong, 100m W/R. Never missed a beat and I've had it since I was in early high school.

Will try to find a pic later.

Does it have a nightlight?

Apparently not, which could be a good thing. When you get home late from the pub, you can tell the missus that you had completely lost track of the time....:D

Doesn't work in hi-fi stores or at GTG's either.....:D

cheers
