truehdfans Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Quite interested to join e MO,esp e crazy low price, some more, 2 Yrs Warranty... But after some research, i decided to hold my horse first, unless the MO organiser can clear all my doubts: 1. from hdx official web store: the price is USD219, shipping to SG,cost is USD50, so total: usd269 ----> sgd378, plus GST: sgd21, so total cost is sgd399, how come you can sell so cheap: sgd309 plus 2 yrs warranty? 2. Regarding 2 years warranty, I checked from HDX website: http://www.hdx1080.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=74 Warranty All RMA claims are to be directed to our main office in China, you will have to pay for the shipping cost to ship the product to us and we will investigate, replace where neccesary and send back to you at our cost. Our standard warranty is one year from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise. Any fault should be reported in writing, then we will advise how to return the item to us. Our warranty terms is that the item should be returned to us at the expense of the purchaser for the testing/repairy or the replacement. If an item without any fault has been returned to us, then we may charge the return postage charge. If a faulty item has been dispatched or the item does not work when received (D.O.A.) then this should be reported to us within seven days from the date of delivery for an immediate exchange or full refund once item has been returned to us at your own expense. If the item purchased has been discontinued within the warranty period and cannot be repaired for some reason, then we will replace it with a similar item. In case of replacement with any other product, then the present market value will be used to offset or for an exchange. Even after one year from the date of purchase, we still try to help with any faulty product and can send to us for the repair at the minimum cost on behalf of our customers. The warranty covers the main player including all parts of printed circuit board, the remote control and the power supply. Accessories such as HDMI cables, USB slave cable or any content that does not affect the operation of the product is not covered under the warranty claus. I am wondering where we can get one more year warranty? To confirm this 2 years warranty, I even write email to HDX support, the reply is : "One thing for sure, no order was made by JSGadget through us and we doubt it is profitable with SGD309. In addition, we only provide 1 year warranty, so 2 years is a far fetch claim by JSGadget. http://www.hdx1080.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=74" 3. I seems not able to see any of your personal contact info. So in case anything wrong, I don't know what to do... Anyway, no offense. Just to make sure... Happy CNY!
allandman Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 They modified the hardware specification for the memory: Memory: 512MBytes DDR2 DRAM 256MBytes NAND Flash 1GB internal flash drive (for BDLive or other content) http://www.hdx1080.com/where-to-buy/hdx-web-shop?page=shop.product_details&category_id=1&flypage=flypage.ilvm_blue.tpl&product_id=4&vmcchk=1
JSGadget Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 Hi truehdfans, Thanks for your feedback. However, regard to your doubts, we need to clear the air abit. 1st concern: - In regard to 2 Years Extended Warranty is solely by JSGadget only. We are extending most of our products sold by us with an additional 2 years warranty (Not HDX only). Quite similar to what the MegaStore (Courts, Harvey, GainCity) is offering as extended warranty. This is our differentiating factor against others. 2nd concern: - As for the price, S$309.00. (excluding GST). The final price is S$330.63 and it is only open to this MO exclusively, as a promotional event. That is whole idea about "Mass Order". It have to be cheaper. If you have visited our site, you will see our new price stating $369.00 for all further order already after this MO ended. 3rd concern: - As for Contact info. You can reach us, by writing to us @ enquires@jsgadget.com.sg or MSN jsgadget@live.com.sg As the CNY in China, Mainland is ending. We will be closing this MO by 28 February 2010. All customers who ordered will be collecting your items not later than 20 March 2010. Lastly, as truehdfun's posting may post certain creditability issue over JSGadget. We are offering full refund to all our prepaid customers who wish to cancel their order. Our cancellation closing date is before 28 February 2010. We like to encourage that those who buy from us before to input some good feedbacks to back us up. Happy CNY to all.

Guest omshks Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Yes I bought it from Playsmart at Sim Lim... I find by far this media player is the best out there... I have gone thru Amoi (Realtek), Xstreamer (another realtek, all realtek players have no HD audio passthru ), PCH C200 (Sigma but cannot have HD audio pass thru! frustrating...), PCH A110 (sigma, again issues with HD audio passthru). Was gg to buy the HDX BD1 but i truely think there are some issues with stocks or shipping. So bought the Bevix just on Sunday... enjoying every bit of it... DTS MA HD... Dolby True HD... all able to pass thru... Full BD navigation for ripped blu ray.... not sure about yamj... Any bros care to comment...
