naimster Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Does anyone have experience buying from http://www.listeninn.com/ ? They have some interesting equipment but not sure of their trustworthiness. I bought my naim amp from mr Goh. Very and honest nice uncle. No pressures at all and can audition to my heart content. Like what octave said, sometimes it's bad luck and the dealer might not know.
IwishIwasToneDeaf Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Based on info in this thread...its even harder to trust used hifi, especially from dealers. Most of them offer equipment repair service as well. It would be very easy to cannibalize on sale items for parts. Short audition is hardly ideal to spot such a mod. Unless you really know about specific equipment, you cant really see if its using original parts , even if you open the top for inspection !! Once you take the item home, the dealer will refuse to acknowledge any mods. Does anyone have experience buying from http://www.listeninn.com/ ? Previously bought a pre/power from the young Mr. Goh and he was kind enough to allow me to audition till contented, paid him a really small deposit and he held the equipment for me for 30 days while I was trying to sell my old stuff. After which, on time delivery + set up from him. In short, no complaints. :)
