Need help!! Burnt mark on PJ image displayed..

No , the DLP chip itself not subject to burnt mark  , but some other optical parts may and older projector like 4805 commonly found at one conner is more yellowish or whole area in vertical darken after say some 3-5 years of use.

precisely, that is what i remember too. but thanks for the confirmation.

 

but then again dlp are also not susceptible to dust buildup because they have sealed optical pathways and smaller optics (one chip in dlp versus three colour chips in lcd) ?

Not really , I have see DLP optical path collected dust and projected on the screen , only can detect it on raster background and due to block of light it look like a patch of stain. only the commercial 3 chip DLP are totally seal with liquid cooler , but still not 100% dust proof.

personally , I have not see any projector that are dust proof , is just detectable or not .
