the NASA phonecall is hilarious

When the story first got reported, I thought this Mitchell must be a crackpot -- then as I read more I realised he was one of the Apollo astronauts and really did walk on the Moon (he's not one of the more famous ones, hence I didn't recognise the name). 

 

Which, for better or worse, gives his allegations a bit more creedence than those of the usual "I was abducted by an alien" types who are usually dismissed out of hand.
