USB wireless devices need specific drivers. Don't believe the PS3 currently supports any.

Your best bet is to get the Ethernet over Power adaptors (aka Powerline Ethernet adaptors) discussed in other threads.

The last alternative is to get a Wireless N Ethernet bridge. But I am not aware of any in the market today (only 11g Ethernet bridge).

Not sure whether i can plug a N network USB adaptor on the PS3 so it can link with G router.

ps why would you want to pair a USB 11n adaptor to a 11g network?? It would not run in 11n mode anyway.

Hi DH

Thanks. I search the forum and read more but some quick questions if i may.

Can I get 200mps over powerline if I use the aztech plugs even my router does not have gigabit LAN ports?

The connection is router LAN cable to plug A and plug B to PS3. Will that make the traffic go at 200mps?

Thanks

200Mbps is theoretical. Am only getting abt 50+ in my setup cos I am running it with extension cords and worse: my contractor swapped neutral and live, but it is good enough to stream from my TVIX to my NFS NAS for the most part, except for 1080p or fast action 720p media.

DizzyD,

I don't think the PS3 has to be "N Enabled", my understanding is that all wireless devices can use Draft N routers.  I have been using a Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti with my PS3 for over a year and have had no problems.  The router is even DLNA, so there is no problem with media streaming.

I have not had problems with on-line games dropping off, or media that stops steaming, the only issue I have had is with downloading PS3 firmware updates directly to the PS3 - it takes hours!  Generally, I just download them to my computer and use my memory stick to install it on the PS3.

Do take note, the Draft N signal is strong, and other freeloaders may want to take advantage of it - remember to secure your network!
