yellowhandman Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 In the last couple of weeks, the volume of my SCV reception has become considerably softer. The set-top box is set on max volume, but I need to turn up my amp's volume higher to get the same volume I used to. Has anyone else experienced that? Any suggestions what could have happened?
imbest Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 i have a few audio output from my hubstation, 1 is amplified another is not, I used the 2nd one and connect to my TV. Are you using the amplified one?
htfreak Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Could this be another one of the "Unintended" side effects of yet another firmware update which I recall seeing scrolling on the screen this past week.
domj Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Yes, I needed to up my vol control few notches to get the same vol recently both in my hall and bedroom....hmm..
yellowhandman Posted March 22, 2008 Author Posted March 22, 2008 i'm not really unhappy with the change, because now the volume is more consistent with my PS3...previously i used to have to turn up the volume a lot when watching blu-rays. but just wanted to make sure there wasn't something wrong with my set-top box or setup.
armoury Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Not that I've noticed, but you may be right. One really annoying thing I have noticed, though, is that the volume difference between CSI the show, and the ads during the show, is really large: I have to crank up the volume to hear what the characters are saying, then when the ad break comes it's all way too loud. Grrrrrr... >:(
