While surfing, I came upon this Japanese website.

 

Seems like they are a kit store where you buy their product and you bring it home to assemble it yourself. Like Lego :)

 

What's interesting is that they have kits for tube pre/power amps and even headphone amp!!! From the picture, they seem very nice and they don't cost that much for the cheaper models.

 

Hmm, I wonder anyone would be interested in one of these???

Tubes won't explode. Capacitors will.

 

Must be careful with the voltages, 8xx tubes are not for beginners.

imho, unless u hv a really strong interest in reading circuit diagram, playing with a solder iron and tampering with the volt meter,

n a steady pair of hands (which i don't, :P), better off just buy off the shelf lah.

if tis one becomes unreserved, those looking for a bedroom set, die die chiong for it, at $680 its really value for $, Jap design and built, sound will be as refined as can be.  EL84 is very very sweet, perfect for bedtime sound.   ;)
