congsterz Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 something like this i think: http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/18/digimedias-4-port-hdmi-1-3-switcher/ in fact i think i will be needing one soon as my avr doesnt support hdmi and my tv only takes 3 hdmi inputs. Anyone knows where i can find a cheap switch in Sg (SLS or SLT)?
SiriuslyCold Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 A repeater is an electronic device that receives a signal and retransmits it at a higher level or higher power, or onto the other side of an obstruction, so that the signal can cover longer distances without degradation. A HDMI repeater is an electronic device that receives a HDMI signal and retransmits it at a higher level or higher power, or onto the other side of an obstruction, so that the signal can cover longer distances without degradation. A HDMI switch takes multiple HDMI signal inputs and outputs on one (or two) HDMI cables. Usually automated its not as straightforward as a normal AV switch - a good switch has to support the handshaking, HDCP encryption etc etc
JayLopez Posted December 25, 2007 Author Posted December 25, 2007 i just thought about this HDMI table from Denon. http://usa.denon.com/AVR_CI_HDMI_Capabilities_xx08xx_v809.pdf
