HT102 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Todays' AVRs are already sporting a full suite of cutting age technologies but every year major brands (Yamaha, Pioneer, Denon, Marantz, Onkyo, etc) never fail to release models that incorporate new features.. so what's coming on the horizon? Let me start: 1) Dolby Volume - enables consistent volume levels allowing listeners to set their preferred listening level and have it stay that way regardless of source or content. 2) THX Loudness Plus - similar to the above 3) ICEpower analog class-D amplification - to achieve excellent power density and efficiency
DizzyD1624705734 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Besides the usual audio processing modes and video upscaling n upconversion, like your last wishlist, i would like them to switch to digital amps instead of solid state to reduce bulk and improve on efficiency. The current AVRs are way too thick and hot. cheers
