Power Brick question

Hi,

 

I just noticed this after i upgrade my receiver to Onkyo 605.

 

I have been using the 5 sockets power brick from Soundtec with power surge and fuse inbuilt. The following are connected to it.

Receiver, BP player, DVD player, Mio + modem + Sub.

 

I usually only try to switch on max 3 devices such as Receiver, BR and Sub.

 

I recently noticed that the sub pop whenever I power it up.

 

Has this to the cheap power brick? Do you think upgrading to a Xindar kind of power brick helps? If so, in what way.

no idea but my 12" cheap sub also pop when i turn off the mains--connected to wall socket directly.
