thought of getting it, any advise? can we get extended warranty from Sharp directly, instead of HN or BD?

For Sharp, it's actually better to get warranty from HN/BD since Sharp only provides 1 year panel warranty only even though they tout theirs as a 3 year warranty.

Agree with jeffong, my friend brought he A83M model and was told by the Sharp Agent that Sharp only cover 1 year on panel and 2nd to 3rd yr on parts.

HN have better coverage( full panel coverage over 5yrs by HN) but cost a bit more if you extend the warrenty to 5yrs.
