SiriuslyCold Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 tonights game was irritatingly patchy reception.
htfreak Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 So I'm not the only one getting the intermittent audio dropout problem throughout the second half of the Liverpool game.
FookLai Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I also get audio drop out but for watching channel U, not liverpool games. Fook Lai
louco73 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I turned my box off and on. Didn't fix it. Took the power cord out and put it back in, seemed a bit better for a while, then started with audio drop out agian. Gave up and went to bed. It was 3-0 anyway :).
yellowhandman Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 in recent weeks, i had been getting irritating stuttering (audio drop out and picture deterioration) on my SCV digital box. it got worse and worse, and then one day the box just stopped working. went down and got a 1-for-1 swap. however, the swapped box also malfunctioned, so called them and shouted a bit. their technician delivered a new box to my place, except that it's a newer slimline box...much nicer looking. so far, it's working fine. so it may not be a transmission problem (especially since not everyone seems to suffer from it). i think the older digital boxes may just fail after some time. i've also experienced the 'fix' where disconnecting the power for a while seems to reset the box and get it working, but it eventually starts to show problems again.
silencer13 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I had the same problem. Throughout the 2nd half the reception was terrible. Sound and Video were jerky, it was like watching a streaming video on a lousy internet connection. In the end I watched Spurs vs Birmingham instead. It was more of a game anyway.

The old digital STB spoil damm easily, I have seen it blown a few times until they finally change to a slimmer thomson STB. No issue after that.

armoury Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Well, last week's HD transmission failed during half-time -- it was pixellating, with the picture compressing upwards leaving a pink band of maybe one-fifth of the screen as the picture jerked up and down. Then later on I realised Ch303 was showing the SD feed and not HD. I didn't much care since it was the Tiny Totts' game and I was only switchig over now and then to check the score, but still...
