(b) where is the main bulk of shops and nice markets to walk(like Lady Street or Sham Sui Po in HK)? That will help me decide where i should stay for the few nights

© plan to go Suzhou/Hangzhou as well... any good?

(d) where is a place/building to view electronics like computers and video games? buy dvds? buy "copy" games/dvds?

(e) where to buy imitation stuff like lady handbags?

a) errr depends on good and what kind of luggage/container capacity we're talking here... LOL

b) used to have a large XiangYang market but that got closed. there are smaller places selling the usual friendly bags, sports apparel/goods, fashionwear, video game cartridges, dvds, luggages etc etc. One is in Pudong next to the Science & Technology Park MRT station (via line 2). A smaller one is in Pudong next to Yaohan (Ba1Bai3Ban4) called Rong2Fu2 Plaza. You can knock yourself out walking the maze of shops in this few places.

c) No biggie for me in these places but if you have the time, Hangzhou's West Lake is ok (2hrs by train from Shanghai)

d) Electronics can be viewed at Hongkong Plaza or Metro City (in Xu3Jia1Hui4) both in Puxi accessible via line 1 MRT. For friendly games/dvds refer to (b).

e) refer to (b).

January would be cold especially coming from S'pore so take note of temp and layer up accordingly. Well you can always buy another luggage here and throw in the purchases. LOL. Have seen lotsa tourists do that.
