ahhian Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Hi guys Just bought a pair of stand mount speakers so I need some advice on getting the stands. Can I know what are the things to look out for? The weight of 1 speaker is about 16 - 17kg. Any preferable height or material for the stands? Kindly intro me some brands to look out for and where can I get them. Thanks very much :)
benzx Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 A rule of thumb for height... the tweeter should be around your ear level when seated in your sitting position. The brands would depend on your budget. For not too expensive ones, try Target and Atacama. Around $200+ and works fine. If you are willing to spend more, then there are solidsteel, soundanchor etc etc.

kzone Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 dont forget to factor in the cost of fillings...
Spunky Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 dont forget to factor in the cost of fillings... depending on what u intend to put inside, it may not be that much. personally, I'll use the full budget on the stand 1st and fill it up later since the itch to tweak will be there anyway! ;D
