jimbok Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Hi All, I'm here to ask another question, hope you guys can help out here. I've purchased a few Blu-ray disc to watch on my PS3, according to the Blu-ray box, the audio is 5.1. When i watch it with my tv with the sound output to my tv, the volume gets very low even when I try to push to volume up. I am thinking if it's the 5.1 sound support problem due normal tv only has 2 front speakers. So, I am looking for a very budget 5.1 sound system which can cater for the sound output from my PS3 Blu-ray movies, do you guys have any recommendations? Say.. my budget is around $500? Is that too cheap to ask for? Thanks.

jimbok Posted November 23, 2007 Author Posted November 23, 2007 Oh hey, I've seen this before. It can be used on the PS3 too?
audionoob1624705779 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 It takes the optical out from ps3. No HD audio, only DTS and DD.

tsammyc Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 HD sound is slightly better than DTS, but you will have to spend another $2-5K to get it by buying an HDMI 1.3 receiver and 6-8 speakers.

JT Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 For $S500 budget, I'd go for HTIB with optical input.
