I am intending to store some of my favourite DVD movies into my harddisk which is accessable via a simple home network.

 

Storing the DVDs into folders is simple but I am looking for a way to retrieve or browse them for playback. Is there a movie interface software where I can see (by titles or coverart) and click what I like to be play back.

 

Appreciate some help.

MCE with mymovies is good. for freeware i used to use meedio.

I thought meedio hasn't been freeware for some time? And it's now owned by Yahoo.

 

Xlobby used to be freeware, but unfortunately no longer so (despite saying it would always be free). Not sure if they still have a freeware version, but I don't think so.

 

There's also Mediaportal, which IS freeware.
