black tortoise Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Hi Guys, Would like to know how to use my integrated tube amp wth a AVR (HTS)? Is my Illustration as below correct: Sub Centre Speaker LR & RR speaker ^ DVDp -> AVR (Pre-out) -> Integrated Tube amp -> LF & RF speaker ^ CDP However, I came across this article which make me a bit confuse. Why need to connect the surround output to the Integrated amp? Quoted from website: For surround, take the left/right main output from your processor or surround receiver and plug it in to the AUX 1 or some other line level in on the integrated amp. All you have to do is switch to that input, and consider the integrated amp now as a power amp
kzone Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Yup, wat u're doing is right... i think the website is actually describing wat u're doing now.. The "for surround" at the beginning of the sentence is misleading..
