chubbyman Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Hiya, I have a pioneer HT at home (HTZ656DVD). I want to change the thin and fragile looking speaker cables that is provided by Pioneer ::) with a decent cable (looking at belden, there is one around 1.8 per m) However i noticed that one end is terminated with a pin jack type of head. I just went to LHS, the guy there said he can't do much about it unless I can find replacement heads for the new cable. any advice? cheers
boseguru Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Sorry to dose your aspirations with ice but frankly, don't waste your time. I suppose you must have heard from audiophile friends that changing your speaker cables to better (thicker) ones will yield better sound quality. But what they didn't tell you was that the rest of your equipment e.g amp, speakers need to be of a certain performance ability to be able to yield noticeable results. Don't bother changing your wires with this system. Save up your money for a proper AV receiver / 5.1 Speaker combination. Lots of good package offers available. Cheers.
